ATLANTA--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Aptos, Inc., a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced The Gymboree Corporation has selected the Aptos Store and Mobile Store point of sale solutions along with Aptos Enterprise Order Management to deliver continuous customer experiences no matter where, when or how customers shop. The new solutions are in addition to Gymboree’s existing Aptos technology – Aptos Audit and Operations Management and Aptos Analytics.
“For the past 40 years, the Gymboree brand has continued to expand due to its steadfast commitment to put customers first”
Established in 1976, The Gymboree Corporation is a specialty retailer operating stores selling high-quality apparel and accessories for children under the Gymboree, Gymboree Outlet, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 brands. Gymboree operates more than 1,300 retail stores in the U.S. and Canada and online stores at www.gymboree.com, www.janieandjack.com and www.crazy8.com.
Recognizing the criticality of the brick and mortar store for customer engagement, Gymboree will deploy the award-winning Aptos Store POS solution to support secure transaction processing and serve as the hub for the customer, inventory and order information needed to enable rich interactions. With Aptos Mobile Store, Gymboree store associates – armed with mobile devices – will be able to leverage the rich POS functionality without leaving the customer’s side.
“Aptos Mobile Store will also give us the flexibility to support innovative new retail formats so we can bring the Gymboree brand experience to our busy and active customers in the communities we serve while providing added shopping convenience,” said David Sondergeld, vice president of Information Technology and CIO at The Gymboree Corporation.
Gymboree has also selected Aptos Enterprise Order Management, which will integrate with Aptos Store to deliver a complete view of inventory, orders and more across sales channels. Aptos Enterprise Order Management will also integrate with Gymboree’s existing eCommerce platform to allow Gymboree to manage all orders throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to fulfillment and back.
“Aptos Store and Aptos Enterprise Order Management will give Gymboree a next-generation customer engagement platform to deliver a unified shopping experience that transcends channels,” said Sondergeld. “The ability to bring an ‘endless aisle’ to our customers will ensure we never lose the opportunity to serve them and earn their loyalty.”
“For the past 40 years, the Gymboree brand has continued to expand due to its steadfast commitment to put customers first,” said Noel Goggin, CEO and culture leader for Aptos. “This is an exciting new chapter in Aptos’ long-standing relationship with Gymboree that promises to transform the Gymboree customer experience into a seamless omni-channel journey.”
