NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Citizen Relations, a global, award-winning, integrated creative communications agency, announced today that Alex Castro has joined as Executive Producer and Video Content Lead for North America effective January 3.

Based in Los Angeles, Castro will spearhead Citizen’s expansion into the content creation field, utilizing his many years of experience in the television and production realm. He is part of the expanding senior team that includes the firm’s recently appointed U.S. General Manager, Nathan Friedman and the leader for strategic planning, Justin Gardiner, among others.

Over the past seventeen years, Castro has worked across multiple broadcast programs and platforms as well as with Fortune 500 companies, including Harley Davidson, Nestle and Verizon, overseeing production from ideation to delivery. During his television career, he was nominated twice for an Emmy and worked on numerous television franchises such as NBC’s Nightly News, The TODAY Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Castro was most recently at Weber Shandwick, where he served as senior vice president and executive producer.

Castro holds a M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Creative Writing and Political Science, from the University of Southern California.
