Vizient has made enormous progress integrating its services with MedAssets’ SCM and Sg2 businesses. The following examples highlight the value delivered to members through this integration:
- Sourcing services – As of December 9, Vizient has achieved a documented $1.4 billion in annual cost savings to members through enhanced contract value in the combined sourcing portfolio, and these savings grow every week.
- Analytics services – In 2016, Vizient launched Vizient Savings Actualyzer, a platform and workflow application that integrates supply chain data to easily and immediately identify and prioritize savings opportunities, and also launched Ediom, a joint venture that uses a proprietary cognitive computing platform to provide software and analytic solutions.
- Advisory services – Through the third quarter, Vizient delivered more than $115 million in bottom line savings to members, and it introduced a newly enhanced Safety Net Provider initiative aimed at directly supporting the unique needs of those providers serving vulnerable patient populations.
- Collaboration services – Finally, Vizient hosted more than 2,500 attendees at its Fall Clinical Connections Summit where it highlighted its combined capabilities through more than 80 educational sessions, hosted an Innovative Technology Exchange and provided numerous opportunities for members, suppliers and staff to network.
