CHELMSFORD, Mass.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Kewill, a leading provider of U.S. customs clearance solutions and innovative supply chain execution software, today announced the appointment of Benny Melumad as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Melumad will be responsible for leading the company’s engineering team, continuing to ensure that Kewill’s technology is constantly innovating and staying ahead of the ever-changing demands, challenges and compliance regulations of today’s complex Supply Chain and Logistics business.

Mr. Melumad is a 25-year veteran of technology and information systems, spanning various leadership roles throughout his career. Prior to joining Kewill, Melumad worked at a division of Vista Equity Partners where he oversaw the technology function within the portfolio companies. He was responsible for transforming initiatives in product development and building highly functional technology teams. During his tenure at Vista, Melumad served as a CTO for two of its companies, MicroEdge (acquired by Blackbaud) and Social Solutions.
Melumad’s management expertise lies in combining the latest technologies and software development methodologies for true innovation. He is driven by and has a personal commitment to upholding the highest quality and most productive user experience, and has a proven track record of up leveling end-to-end technology offerings. Prior to Vista Equity Partners, Melumad was at Becton, Dickinson and Company, a Fortune 500 global medical technology company. He started his career as a software developer and as a DBA, working for several financial and startup companies.

Melumad holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of Management in Tel Aviv, as well as an MBA in computer science and finance from the City University of New York.
