MCLEAN, Va.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--TEGNA Inc. (NYSE:TGNA) today named Dean Ditmer president and general manager of KPNX in Phoenix, AZ. Ditmer previously served as director of sales at KUSA in Denver, CO.

Ditmer has led the sales team at KUSA since 2012. Prior to joining TEGNA and KUSA, Ditmer was general manager of WKEF and WRGT, a duopoly in Dayton, OH. He has also directed sales at WCCO in Minneapolis and worked in the sales departments of KPIX in San Francisco, WNCN in Raleigh, WKEF and WHIO in Dayton. While at WKEF, Ditmer was also an Emmy-nominated sportscaster.
Ditmer graduated from Bowling Green University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in Radio-TV-Film. Ditmer and his wife, Jennifer, have a teenage daughter.
