REDMOND, Wash.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Solomomo, a company focused on building high tech products for the beauty, skincare and wellness markets, today unveiled its campaign for pre-orders of its Solomomo™ Home Skin Wand device and accompanying free skin analysis service. The company’s self-serve in-store version, Solomomo Retail, was recently hailed the Top Retail Store Innovation for 2017 by Trendstop.
“I am passionate about health and natural beauty. When I find something that works I want to share it with the world!”
Eric Engstrom was inspired to start the company to build a product that would help his wife and business partner, Solomomo co-CEO, Cindy Engstrom, know what really was the best approach for maintaining her skin health and beauty.
“My wife said, ‘You’ve made enough technology for boys (referring to DirectX and the X-Box), it is time to make something for women!’ and so began the journey to empower women with accurate information about their own skin,” says Eric Engstrom, co-CEO and Founder.
Industry vet and Solomomo board member, Robin Carmichael, President and COO of Helix BioMedix, Inc., explains the power of this technology, “Solomomo provides a personal, ongoing monitor that can help fine-tune skincare regimens and show which products really work. From dry skin to fine lines and wrinkles, Solomomo is a must-have for advanced skin care.”
The company is also announcing an influential addition to its Board of Directors. Lora Drasner brings a vast background in strategy, health and luxury goods along with her passion for natural beauty.
“I am passionate about health and natural beauty. When I find something that works I want to share it with the world!” Lora Drasner speaking about the Solomomo Home Skin Wand.
Lora joins a powerful board that features expertise from the tech and beauty industries, for example, Solomomo Chairman Mike Slade, formerly Steve Jobs’ Chief of Staff.
The Solomomo Home Skin Wand lets users see their skin with dermatologist-like precision. The specially equipped wand has lights and magnification for a close look at the skin. The wand is attached to a 7 inch touchscreen that broadcasts what the wand ‘sees’. The user is guided to specific points on their face to create a personal skin map. These images are analyzed in the cloud and a skin report becomes available on the device. The user can track their skin health and the efficacy of their regimen, including the specific products that they use over time.
Armed with data about hydration levels, exfoliation, pore size, pore cleanliness, fine lines and wrinkles, people are empowered to adjust their regimens and their products accordingly. For example, a person who is inadvertently over-exfoliating may need to reduce how often they use a Clarisonic® during dry winter weather.
The Solomomo Home Skin Wand pre-order campaign gives consumers the opportunity to participate in the launch of this product while getting the product at half price plus sales tax.
The pre-orders placed in December are scheduled to ship to customers in March 2017. Please visit the pre-order page for more information http://solomomo.com.
