UNIONDALE, N.Y.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--EC Infosystems, a leader in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Billing/Customer Information Solutions (CIS) for clients in the deregulated energy industry, today announced CPG Power Holdings LLC, an ESCO holding company, has chosen to consolidate all its energy retail operation Billing/CIS and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) on EC Infosystems’ UtiliBill™ platform.
“Our hosted SaaS model, complete with integrated EDI, is a natural choice for competitive energy marketers that want to consolidate their Billing/CIS operations across multiple entities.”
CPG Power Holdings owns City Power and Gas, an energy service company providing natural gas and electricity for homes or businesses throughout New York. CPG recently acquired Union Atlantic Electricity, a competitive energy marketer that will sell retail power and gas in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, with an eye on expansion to markets in other areas of the country. City Power & Gas and Union Atlantic Electric were using a combination of three different Billing/CIS and EDI platforms.
“We wanted the added efficiency and lower total cost of ownership from a single, integrated Billing/CIS and EDI platform” explained Michael Mitchell, President and CEO of CPG Power Holdings LLC. “EC Infosystems provided us with an easy, painless migration path onto their UtiliBill hosted platform with a superb service team that carefully guided us through every step of the process. EC Infosystems’ exceptional experience in multiple deregulated markets also played an important role in our selection criteria.”
“Our hosted SaaS model, complete with integrated EDI, is a natural choice for competitive energy marketers that want to consolidate their Billing/CIS operations across multiple entities.” said EC Infosystems President and CEO, Mohan Wanchoo. “As the retail energy industry continues to consolidate, we expect many other new customers will want to take advantage of our easy migration path, superior functionality, and lower total cost to serve.”
“The competitive advantages of the UtiliBill platform, as well as our outstanding success record, continue to be recognized in competitive energy markets across the U.S.,” said Ananda Goswami, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at EC Infosystems. “We expect to be announcing new wins in a number of regional markets over the next 12 months.”
