According to a study commissioned by DoubleTree by Hilton, nearly 40 percent of Americans agree that milk isn’t the only beverage to pair with cookies. As a twist to the time-honored holiday tradition of offering cookies and milk, DoubleTree by Hilton introduces Chocolate Chip Cookies and Drinks: A Pairings Guide, developed by the expert mixologists at the soon-to-open DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square West.
The Pairings Guide includes the perfect sweet concoction for everyone, with seven cocktails, two mocktails and even pairing suggestions for beer and wine aficionados. In an effort to discover how travelers embrace the holidays, DoubleTree by Hilton asked Americans how they preserve and celebrate their favorite traditions at home – and on the road. Results of the nationwide survey revealed:
- Homemade, again: Thirty percent of U.S. adults have re-gifted homemade cookies and claimed them as self-made!
- I Saw Mommy: Sixty-eight percent of couples who leave cookies and milk out for Santa on Christmas Eve know exactly who will eat the cookies.
- Check the Stress: Twice as many Americans would rather spend the holiday season at a hotel than with their in-laws. In fact, nearly 1 in 4 Millennials agree that staying with family is one of their biggest holiday stressors.
- Cookies On the Go: One in 5 Americans who have stayed at a hotel during the holidays made sure there was a plate of cookies waiting for Santa during their stay.
