Stratoscale Symphony 3 was designed to offer enterprises full alignment with evolving cloud services and fast forward a future-proof cloud adoption:
1. Stratoscale Symphony 3 New Services and Capabilities
Stratoscale Symphony 3 introduces significant new capabilities to Symphony’s architecture, enabling the transition toward an “all-in” cloud strategy and continuing Stratoscale’s commitment to provide the best private cloud infrastructure that is aligned with the AWS ecosystem.
Until now, object storage infrastructure, such as Amazon’s S3, was practically beyond the reach of on-premises private clouds: leveraging object storage within a private cloud setting required resolving significant challenges, such as different flows and code discrepancies.
For the first time, Stratoscale Symphony 3 offers unified and durable cloud-driven storage in which object storage resides side by side with block storage on the same hyperconverged infrastructure. Symphony’s software-defined storage allows admins to easily shift resources between the different storage types without the need to manage multiple siloed storage solutions, offering the sought-after scalability, agility and flexibility.
Because all storage needs reside within the data center, enterprises benefit from the security, resiliency, control and efficiencies, as well as simple management and maintenance, without compromising ease-of-use and short time-to-market.
Containerized applications are becoming widely used by business units to enhance efficiencies and application portability, as a part of the ongoing effort to modernize enterprise applications. Symphony’s container service offers a fully managed Kubernetes-as-a-Service that removes the operational barriers of adopting a container-based strategy by reducing the need for skilled and experienced talent as well as the lifecycle management overhead of Kubernetes. Symphony’s Kubernetes services offer direct access to Kubernetes GUI, enabling enterprises to leverage existing practices and minimize the learning curve.
