LONDON & NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Blue Prism users gathered in London and New York for three customer forums - the latest in a series of events and programs that stretch back to July 2009. The community met to discuss and share experiences and best practice recommendations for large-scale, mission-critical, transformational deployments of enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA). As has been the case for all the previous meetings, the forums were hosted and chaired by Blue Prism customers.
“Our customers are collectively driving the most advanced and transformative use cases of enterprise RPA; these forums provide them the opportunity to learn from each other, inform our future product strategies and even set the tone for developing industry standards”
On Wednesday, November 30th, BNY Mellon hosted more than 65 members, representing 25 organizations, of Blue Prism’s Robotic Automation Advisory Council (RAAC) in New York for their fourth meeting. This forum was made up of North America-based senior business operations, transformational change and IT executives driving significant RPA implementations. BNY Mellon presented its RPA journey and shared lessons learned, best practice methodologies and operating models for its impressive global RPA program.
Also, members of the Robotic Automation Advisory Council formed five working groups to address issues that would advance their collective RPA efforts: the right working relationship with IT; the complementary tech ecosystem to support RPA; RPA governance and security; building the pipeline of processes for automation; and corporate responsibility for managing the social impact of RPA programs.
On Thursday, December 1st, also in New York, Blue Prism hosted its sixth annual Technical User Group, a forum for members of the Blue Prism community to share operational and technical best practice and provide product feedback to the Blue Prism team. The Technical User Group was attended by technical support, development and operational management professionals from customers who shared their experiences and key learning for change management and large-scale robot implementations. The forum also served as an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the Blue Prism product roadmap. This user community has a strong connection with Blue Prism's global technical support and product engineering organizations. Over the years, this group has helped drive new functionality and methodologies for enterprise RPA deployments.
The two New York meetings followed Blue Prism’s Operational Agility Forum, which took place on November 23rd in London. Hosted by IBM, this forum was attended by 75 attendees from the U.K., Europe, and Asia Pacific representing 35 organizations who together have automated millions of back office transactions per month, saving millions of hours of work. Since 2009, these forums have helped drive Blue Prism’s product roadmap, delivery and support methodologies from which current members benefit. It also affords newer customers the chance to learn from the community’s collective experience.
Next year, the U.K.-based Operational Agility Forum and North America-based Robotic Automation Advisory Council will merge to become the Robotic Automation Advisory Forum (RAAF), a worldwide gathering of leaders from Blue Prism’s user community of over 150 enterprise customers. The first international forum meeting will be held in Sydney, Australia, in April 2017. The RAAF will be the primary global customer forum aimed at the business operations and operational change teams. The Blue Prism Technical User Group will continue its role in supporting the delivery, technical and operational support audiences within the Blue Prism user community.
“Our customers are collectively driving the most advanced and transformative use cases of enterprise RPA; these forums provide them the opportunity to learn from each other, inform our future product strategies and even set the tone for developing industry standards,” commented Pat Geary, chief marketing officer, Blue Prism. “The collaboration and sharing amongst these trail-blazing organizations is outstanding, and we’re grateful for the investment of our valued customers’ time and energy – they have made our product the industry leading enterprise RPA platform that it is today.”
