Gusto launches an integrated, all-in-one platform to manage HR, payroll and benefits

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Today Gusto announced the addition of HR to its People Platform, and now provides an all-in-one platform for HR, payroll, and benefits. Gusto, which currently serves over 40,000 companies nationwide, introduced new employee-friendly onboarding features, savings options such as 401(k), and more.

With Gusto’s People Platform, customers can access their HR tasks and employee records in a single place that seamlessly integrates with payroll and benefits. Customers can also take advantage of new onboarding features that celebrate moments like an employee’s first day at a new job. Key new features include:

  • Paperless Employee Records: With Gusto’s new HR features, new hire documents, employee personnel files, and an employee directory are all centralized online, so HR admins can easily navigate all employee information in one place. This eliminates the need for them to manually enter data into multiple systems, which reduces errors and saves a significant amount of time.
  • One System Ensures Compliance: With one system of record, it’s easier to stay compliant and keep employee records and deductions up to date. One of the unique advantages of Gusto’s People Platform is that all of our features are automatically integrated with payroll, so deductions from benefits, 401(k) and more, can flow seamlessly.
  • A Superior Onboarding Experience:
    • A Warm Welcome: Employers and HR admins can spend less time on new hire paperwork now that employees can e-sign key documents before showing up to the first day of work. New employees can also start feeling like part of the team right away with a virtual “welcome wall” where teammates can leave greetings before their first day.
    • Employee Health Benefits Advisor: Choosing health benefits is complicated, and many employees find it difficult to estimate the value and cost of various health plans. Gusto’s new health benefits advisor feature walks people through the enrollment process to create personalized plan recommendations based on their health needs, preferences, and cost-consciousness. Employees can even look up their doctors and dentists right in their Gusto account to see if their healthcare providers are in-network. Using a proprietary algorithm, Gusto gives people a sense of their total estimated cost for the year and allows them to compare plans side-by-side.
  • New Employee Savings Options: Employees can save for the future with new long-term and short-term savings options:
    • 401(k): Gusto now offers a fully integrated 401(k) solution that allows employees to easily enroll in retirement plans and update their contributions. Because all the deductions automatically sync with payroll, HR admins don’t need to manually update contributions. The new 401(k) feature is made possible through a partnership with Guideline, which offers the lowest portfolio plan pricing in the industry for employees, as well as an affordable, flat monthly fee for employers of $8 per employee per month.
    • Savings: Employees can set aside money from their paycheck for life events like going on a vacation, or buying a car or home. As they reach savings milestones, Gusto helps them celebrate progress with badges and other encouragement.
