Free 'Final Rule' Infographic Breaks Down Key Provisions, Highlights New Regulations

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--()--Overtime Pay Laws, an employment resource center, has released an easy-to-read infographic that breaks down key provisions of the Final Rule and highlights the new regulations.

The Final Rule, which will raise the white collar overtime exemption threshold under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), officially takes effect on Dec. 1, 2016.

The easy-to-read infographic details revised overtime pay regulations, estimated to affect at least 4.2 million American workers. The new rule will also increase the salary threshold for the overtime exemption from $455 a week ($23,600 annually) to $913 a week ($47,476 annually).

"The new rules can be confusing and difficult to grasp," said Lawrence J. Buckfire, managing partner and lead trial attorney at Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. "This infographic helps explain the biggest changes that will take effect Dec. 1, including changes to pay wage and salary thresholds."

All states will likely see a significant impact in the amount of workers eligible to pursue and receive overtime pay benefits.
