Meggitt Training Systems to Demonstrate Recently Released Enhanced Virtual Training System at CANSEC

SUWANEE, Ga.--()--Meggitt Training Systems’ new FATS® 100e virtual training system will make its Canadian debut in Ottawa at CANSEC 2016 from May 25-26, 2016, with demonstrations available by company representatives. FATS 100e was announced in late 2015 and is based upon solutions to US Army and US Marine Corps instructional requirements.

“FATS 100e represents the best solution to today’s most challenging training requirements”

“FATS 100e represents the best solution to today’s most challenging training requirements,” said Ed Duckless, president of Meggitt Training Systems Quebec. “Our demonstrations at CANSEC 2016 will show the next evolution of virtual training with its cutting-edge technologies, and serves as an ideal system for the Canadian Armed Forces.”

The new FATS 100e is an extension of the proven and popular FATS M100 and a major expansion in weapons training capability, introducing new features such as Crytek-based 3D marksmanship, automatic coaching and VBS3-based collective training. The 3D marksmanship provides visually realistic and highly detailed terrains and targets, including weather, and striking visual effects including wind-blown environments, birds in flight, dirt splashes and explosions. Automatic coaching has never been available in the small-arms training market, and VBS3-based collective training is new to the training system.

“FATS 100e is the latest example of why defence forces around the world turn to Meggitt Training Systems to prepare their war fighters for the battlefield,” said Duckless.

The new system provides an impressive array of functionality for both instructor and trainee, delivering solid weapon handling and shot placement analytics, coaching tools that automatically highlight trainee results for reinforcement or correction, and enhanced graphic capabilities for an all-encompassing immersive training platform that will meet the needs of combat forces worldwide.

Demonstrations will be held throughout the day at booth #414 or by appointment at http://meggitttrainingsystems.com/About-Meggitt/Trade-show-schedule/cansec-2016.
