Amerigroup Kansas Names Frank Clepper Chief Operating Officer

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--()--Amerigroup Kansas announced it has named Frank Clepper as its new chief operating officer, effective Sept. 22. Clepper will report to Laura Hopkins, Amerigroup Kansas’ president and CEO, and will lead the health plans' operations, networking and provider relations. Clepper replaces Thomas Killian, who is transitioning to a regional role within Amerigroup’s west region.

With more than 25 years of health care, operations and leadership experience, Clepper most recently served as director of Operations for Amerigroup Kansas. Prior to joining the company in 2012, he was COO for Delta Dental of Kansas, Surency Life & Health Company and UBS America as the senior vice president of Operations. He retired from the United States Army following more than 20 years of distinguished service, culminating his career in command of all Army activities in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Command and General Staff College; he also holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Management.
