Shane Krauser and the American Academy for Constitutional Education Announce Events to Celebrate Constitution Day 2014

PHOENIX--()--In honor of Constitution Day on September 17, 2014, Shane Krauser and the American Academy for Constitutional Education (AAFCE) will be taking part in a series of events across the country to honor the nation’s foundation, and educate Americans about the rights and liberties this important document protects to this day. Shane Krauser, the Academy’s Managing Director, will be speaking at Constitution Week New York City 2014 on September 13, to kick off the series.

“Liberty and freedom have enabled Americans to experience more prosperity, opportunity and equality than any other nation in history. But, protecting those liberties and freedoms requires constant vigilance”

AAFCE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing Constitutional education for schools, colleges, government and civic organizations. The Academy offers educational programs that range from introductory overviews of the founding documents, to in-depth training on the seven articles that make up the body of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other amendments to the Constitution. These educational programs are tailored to the age group and audience to ensure a high degree of knowledge transfer.

“Liberty and freedom have enabled Americans to experience more prosperity, opportunity and equality than any other nation in history. But, protecting those liberties and freedoms requires constant vigilance,” said Krauser. “It is imperative that Americans, especially our youth, educate themselves about the Constitution so they know how it can best serve them and how to protect it.”

In addition to the New York City event, the Academy’s educational series will include stops throughout Montana, including: Great Falls on Wednesday, September 17, Butte on Thursday, September 18, Bozeman on Friday, September 19 and Helena on Saturday, September 20. Fourteen presentations will be made to public high school students, church groups, civic organizations and university students along the tour.

“The historical perspective of the Constitution should be viewed as a national treasure and taught throughout our educational system. No one does that better than Shane Krauser,” said Jay Anderson, Big Sky Tea Party Association and co-organizer of the Montana leg of the series. “Shane brings candor, humor, passion and a deeply intellectual historical perspective to the founding documents of this country. We are excited to bring Shane to the major cities of Montana, for a discussion that is long overdue.”
