FORT LEE, N.J.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Archives International Auctions will offer 1,070 lots of U.S. and worldwide banknotes, scripophily (the collecting of stock certificates) and security printing ephemera at auction on Tuesday, May 15th, 2012 at 10 a.m. (EDT) in Fort Lee, N.J.. The auction will offer live gallery, phone and Internet bidding at www.archivesinternational.com.

The auction is packed with rare and desirable banknotes including 18 rare Chinese banknotes and over 300 different foreign banknotes. Also included are dozens of U.S. obsolete banknotes, including a new find of obsolete proprietary proofs from American Bank Note Commemoratives inventory which is composed of numismatic and philatelic production material and rare Security Printing Ephemera that will be featured in upcoming auctions.
The scripophily section will include 412 lots of stocks and bonds (banking, mining, railroad, foreign, etc.), for every level of collector. Included are a new find of rare and early Michigan Mining stocks as well as over 80 railroad stocks and bonds including many rarities that seldom come to auction.
